Our most challenging trail with 5km of lighted night skiing and snowshoeing!
Climbing through the forest east of the Alpine Ski Area, this rolling and turning trail has little level terrain in its seven kilometers. It offers a feeling of seclusion with sunny views of Leavenworth. Food, beverages and warmth are available at the historic Ski Hill Lodge when the alpine hill is open.
For a snowshoe adventure on a groomed surface the Ski Hill Trail makes for a great outing. This is an advanced ski trail with much less ski traffic. Five kilometers are lit for night use until 11 p.m. Snowshoers share this trail with skiers so please stay to the left edge of the skating lane and NEVER snowshoe in the classic tracks.
Check out the many other activities at Ski Hill.
Hours
Lights at the Ski Hill Nordic trails are turned off at 11 pm
Ski Etiquette: Officially, the ski and snowshoe trails do not close. However, LWSC discourages skiing unlit trails after dark. Do not ski directly behind the snowcats or during grooming hours of 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The snow requires 1 hour of "set time" after grooming. Skiing directly behind the groomer drives our staff crazy and spoils the ski conditions for others. You may deposit day ticket payments in the trail fee boxes located at the trailheads if you are night skiing or using the trails after ticket locations are closed.
