Leavenworth Winter Sports Club and Leavenworth Mountain Association have teamed up to bring a Backcountry Education Series to Leavenworth Ski Hill. Registration is not required.
FREE Avalanche Awareness Clinic

This clinic is hosted by Scott Schell, Program Director for Friends of Northwest Weather & Avalanche Center (NWAC) and Mike Miller, crew member of the North Central Avalanche WSDOT.
FREE Companion Rescue Clinic
Tuesday, Feb. 5th
3-6 p.m.
Mike Miller from WSDOT along with Jay Bright & Ryan Murray of Cascade Powder Cats and John & Olivia Race of Northwest Mountain School will present a companion rescue clinic. Come on up to Ski Hill to practice your skills with your transceiver, probe and shovel.

Tour Planning Clinic

6-9 p.m.
$5 includes course materials
Local guides, Ryan Murray of Cascade Powder Cats and John & Olivia Race of Northwest Mountain School, will lead an interactive clinic in Tour Planning including:
• What to carry in your pack.
• Choosing terrain using USGS maps, compass and Google Earth
• Preparing a time plan
• Assembling rescue toboggans in the field
