Hog Loppet

The Hog Loppet is a non-competitive 30k Ski Trek from the top of Mission Ridge Ski Area to Blewett Pass.  We strongly recommend using the shuttle bus service provided.  It is not an event for first time skiers because there is some steep terrain and ungroomed conditions.  Please read the route descriptions below.  Online registration closes Thursday 2/21/13 at 1 p.m.  You may register on Saturday at Mission Ridge.

Shuttle Bus
We highly recommend using the bus with 85% of our participants. CLICK HERE for details!  Leavenworth DOT buses at 220 US HWY 2 depart at 6 am.  Wenatchee Convention Center buses depart at 6:30 am.

Schedule
7:00-8:00 AM:  Registration & Packet Pick Up at Hampton Lodge.
7:30-8:30 AM:  Chairlift open until 8:30 AM.  No exceptions!

Communication: Use Channel 3, subchannel 10 for personal radios.

LWSC Report: Our grooming staff has cut the road into Aid Station #1 and will have the road groomed on the day of the event as has been done before.  TONIGHT: Snow accumulation of 1-3" possible. Tonight Snow showers likely, mainly before 10pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 24. Breezy, with a west wind 17-23 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. SATURDAY: A 30% chance of snow showers, mainly after 10am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 35. West wind around 18 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Registration fees include a free cotton event shirt & a 1-day Nordic ticket to LWSC trails.  Same Day Registration is 7-8 AM at Mission Ridge's Hampton Lodge.  Registration fees have not increased for 2013, however, increased shuttle expenses have increased the optional shuttle fee.  *LWSC members receive $5 off registration

Refunds

Registration fees are non-refundable due to non-participation by participant’s choice.  Registration fees may be partially refundable due to event cancelation caused by unsafe conditions.  Paid registrations cannot be transferred to another person. You may pick up your shirt at one of the designated registration packet locations Friday or Saturday.  There is a $5 fee for mailing the shirt.
