The place to walk or ski with your dog!
Just one block from downtown, skiers and snowshoers can join this three-kilometer trail at end of 9th street or the end of Division Street at the Barn Beach Reserve. The trail crosses Blackbird Island, provides views of wildlife, shining waters, and the surrounding mountains and continues on to connect with the Golf Course Trail (nordic only)
Please do not snowshoe in the classic ski track and DO NOT enter the Golf Course.

Ski Etiquette: Officially, the ski and snowshoe trails do not close. However, LWSC discourages skiing unlit trails after dark. Do not ski directly behind the snowcats or during grooming hours of 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The snow requires 1 hour of "set time" after grooming. Skiing directly behind the groomer drives our staff crazy and spoils the ski conditions for others. You may deposit day ticket payments in the trail fee boxes located at the trailheads if you are night skiing or using the trails after ticket locations are closed.

Tickets
You must purchase nordic trail tickets at the Icicle River Ticket Office (8am-2pm), Der Sportsmann or other retail and lodging locations before skiing. We routinely monitor trails so please have your day ticket or season pass visible. You may deposit day ticket payments in the trail fee boxes located at the trailhead if you are night skiing or using the trails after ticket locations are closed.
Snowshoeing on the trail is free.
